    CI,
do you think ABT will fall on fiscal cliff? I think we will survive it somehow. There were worse situations in the past than this and people managed to survive it, so I hope we can move on too. I am only little bit concerned about the split into two companies how ABT will progress after the split. Will it continue its strong performance or will AbVie take over the leadership of the two? Thanks for stopping by.

I’m a huge fan Abbott, good buy! If there isn’t a fiscal cliff deal, this will be one of the stocks I’ll be paying close attention to. I’m always looking to increase my exposure to the healthcare sector.

    Marvin,

I like ABT and now it is teetering at its long term trend line, 200 day MA and lower standard deviation Bollinger Bands, thus I decided to add to this position. However, I was adding only a small portion (a minimum of 800 dollars lot), if the stock drops even further, I will be adding more. The Bollinger Bands are very narrow at this point so we are about to shoot sharply soon; the question is which direction. Considering the stock and its history, with a split in January (which will make the stock “cheaper” – not by value, but price to buy) I think it may be upward move.
