Is it time to be cautious?

If you follow my blog and read my outlooks for the market, you know that since December 2016 I have been bullish and pretty much criticized long term investors selling their positions in their portfolios based on valuations.   Here is a pictue from Hedgeye I posted to support my bullish view:     And Continue reading →

Here is why I consider this market bearish

Look at the chart. I use regression channel. It is a study provided for free in TOS. So the lines of the regression channel shown on the chart are drawn automatically by the study based on the price action of the underlying. It is as automatic as Bollinger Bands. It is expected that the price Continue reading →

Forget Greece. The Sky Is Falling In China

Greece’s three-week bank shutdown cost businesses over 3 billion euros according to the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Despite such astonishing news from Greece, this week national news outlets focused their resources into forecasting that the sky is falling in China. In the famous children’s story of Henny Penny, the chicken who believes the Continue reading →

$SPX market expectation for May 1st 2015

Today we saw a big sell off on Wall Street. Media say it was because of bad economic reports we saw recently from big companies. Who knows what caused this crash, but the reality is that we are now oversold. I do not expect much from this market as we again failed to move higher Continue reading →

Where is $SPX heading next? I expect down and here is why.

I was wrong many times in predicting the direction of this market. For about five months the market headed nowhere. We are range bound between 2000 and 2100 level with a few over shots which are immediately sold off. Although the overall long term bullish trend is intact, we are undergoing either a huge consolidation Continue reading →

$SPX selling today didn’t change my bullish outlook

I thought that today’s selling would mark an end to the bullish trend making it yet another sold off attempt of new highs. But when I looked at the chart later at the end of the trading session to my surprise it didn’t change the bullish trend at all and we are still in an Continue reading →

Is $SPX finally going higher or is more volatility coming?

Last couple of months it was really difficult to say what the market wants to do. It went up a few days, then reversed and fell hard next few days just to reverse again. Trading in this environment was extremely difficult for me. But at least it was a great opportunity for me to look Continue reading →

Running a zig-zag trade: my worst trade ever ended relatively well

My dream is to trade SPX weekly options and generate weekly income, which I can invest into dividend paying stocks. I believe and hope that with dividends and options income I can boost my portfolio and grow it faster than when just investing into dividend stocks only. I believe, that it is actually my only Continue reading →

Market 3% off of the top. Is more selling coming?

The stock market fell by 3% since all-time high in February. Is more selling coming or are we going up again? Unfortunately, I think the uptrend is broken already and we will see more selling. Although tomorrow we may see a bounce from the oversold territory it looks like that the bounce will be sold Continue reading →

Market weak but a bounce may happen tomorrow

The stock market is weak and every move higher is immediately sold. Today we created a lower high which is a significant signal of a trend reversal. Tomorrow we may see a bounce up higher – I expect the market to bounce up to 2107 level, but then we may see a renewed selling pressure. Continue reading →
