Yakezie challenge completed!

Proud Member of Yakezie A few days ago I completed my Yakezie challenge! I broke thru 200k Alexa rank as it currently reads:

I would like to thank you all for helping me reaching this goal. This accomplishment however won’t stop me from striving to provide a better content about investing.

Congrats!! That’s a great accomplishment. I am planning on joining the challenge in July (I think I read they like to start twice a year?). Hopefully I follow in your foot steps and complete the challenge! Keep up the good work.

Maybe I should join the challenge too.

Congrats Marvin! I’ve considered giving the Yakezie challenge a try but thought it was more for personal finance sites where I’m more focused on investing. Have you found that completing the challenge has provided you with much benefit? Good job in your work.

    • Martin says:

Dan, it did. I think I learned a lot and I can see results in improving all my blog metrics, so although the Yakezie may be oriented more towards the PF, it was worth it doing it. Even if I do not take the membership, it still had a great impact to how to run the blog, act in a blogosphere, interact with others. I didn’t know all that stuff before and learned it during the challenge. I also gained a lot of confidence blogging. It was really worth the work (which at the very beginning looked very scary).

Congrats on completing the challenge! That’s a big accomplishment.

It is. It is also a lot of work. I never believed how much work you have to put in blogging. But it was worth it. I learned a lot.

  16. Congratulations! Keep at it and see if you can drop your Alexa ranking even more. I think I’m stuck in the 130Ks right now. I could probably push it a bit lower, but I’m pretty overextended as it is right now.

  17. Irfan says:

Congratz Martin, great to see you completing it. Hopefully our team is helping to drive those numbers :-)

    • Martin says:

Irfan, I bet it is. Since joining the teams I saw a great jump in everything, pageviews, Alexa, likes in Facebook (185 new likes !!!) RSS subscribers… so the team definitely had an impact.

  18. Greg @ Thriftgenuity.com says:

Congratulations on the ranking! That is really good. I’m still plugging away at it.

    • Martin says:

Greg, thanks. I bet you will crank it fast too. You are doing excellent job on your blog and it is great having you in our team. I enjoy reading it.
