Is Snowflake (SNOW) a disaster or a sleeping giant?

When Snowflake (SNOW) went public in September 2020 I believed this would be a serious competitor to other established cloud providers like Amazon and Microsoft. Their cloud services were supposed to be unique allowing users variability no one offered. I hoped the investment would be similar to investing early in companies like Amazon in 1997. Technical view: SNOWFLAKE Inc. (SNOW)

Snowflake is in stage #1. The company reported earnings. The report was a 92% surprise (revenue was 2% surprise) but they provided guidance which Wall Street didn’t like. The stock dropped hard a week ago and all the Wall Street analysts started their piss contest on downgrading the stock. But last week, the stock Continue reading →

Technical view: Meta Platforms Inc. (META)

Meta (FB) is in stage #4. Are we seeing the end of Meta’s year-long decline? It is still in stage #4 but definitely improving. If this trend continues and it starts morphing back into stage #1 or even resumes stage #2, that would be a feast and a great opportunity to buy. You don’t Continue reading →

Technical view: AES Corp. (AES)

AES is in stage #2. The stock continues trading near its all-time highs and starts forming a top. If the economy hits a recession, then bonds may perform better, and investors will most likely buy bonds rather than utilities. Thus, I am expecting (if that happens) that AES may drop. At the current price, Continue reading →

Technical view: Snowflake (SNOW)

SNOW is in stage #4. The company had stellar earnings that helped to stop the downward trend but not enough to reverse it. It is still in a declining trend but attempting to break above the 50-day MA. The weekly chart indicates a possible double-bottom process as well. Given the great business model the Continue reading →

2021 Week 19 investing and trading report

The second week of May 2021 is over and here is our weekly investing and trading report. Last week was busy for us as we had to roll many of our trades down when the market started selling off due to inflation fears. But this fear, subsequent selloff, and a sharp recovery provided a great Continue reading →

2021 Week 18 investing and trading report

May 2021 started in a similar manner as the previous months – slowly. We only made about $551 trading options in the first week of May. Honestly, it was a surprise to me as I expected less due to the stock market slowdown and selling pressure. So, this income is a nice surprise. In today’s Continue reading →

April is over and it is time to write our weekly investing and trading report. But before we proceed, let’s mention that today is a day when Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett with Charlie Munger have their annual meeting. I plan to visit the next year’s meeting if it will be opened to the public Continue reading →
