Trade exit – Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) put selling - 1.07% gain

I was no longer comfortable with Pitney Bowes (PBI) stock and thus earlier I changed my mind on this trade. Originally, I was OK to hold this stock in my portfolio in case I get assigned, but after 50% dividend cut the rules changed. For this reason I decided to take advantage of Pitney’s somewhat Continue reading →

Trade adjustment – Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) put rollover

Trade adjustment - Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) put rollover

Today Pitney Bowes cut their dividend by 50%. That makes this stock no longer attractive for my dividend growth strategy and I am no longer interested in this stock. Originally I sold a put contract to get assigned to the stock. I no longer wish to be assigned and since I do not know how Continue reading →

Trade Adjustment - Corning Inc (GLW) put selling addition

Corning Inc seems to be performing well. The outlook Morningstar presents hasn’t changed and they still estimate the value at $15 a share. My own calculation indicates 17 a share with 28% safety margin and annual expected return at 25%. The PEG value of 0.9708 is below the Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components industry median Continue reading →

New Trade – Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) put selling

New Trade - Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) put selling

When I sold ARR today morning I quickly scanned my watch list for replacement. I must admit that this time I was looking for high yielding stocks, closer to 10% yield with a decent dividend growth and dividend paying history. I think Pitney Bowes Inc. perfectly fits my needs. It is a long-term dividend payer.

New Trade - Safeway Inc. (SWY) put selling

I was searching for stocks which I can buy, but couldn’t find anything at a decent price. Everything I was interested in is so elevated that I wasn’t comfortable buying at the current price. So I was thinking that the only way I would be willing to do is to sell a longer term put Continue reading →

New Trade - Corning Inc (GLW) put selling

I had Corning in my watch list for some time. It was a featured company in Morningstar as a potential new gainer. I like the company what i have read about it so far. It is a four star stock and Morningstar estimates the fair value at $15 a share. My own calculation indicates 17 Continue reading →

MBIA Inc (MBI) and put selling

MBIA Inc (MBI) and put selling

After reviewing my current position with MBIA (MBI) I decided to take another trade with this stock. I already hold 100 shares of MBI and have a covered call written against this stock, see my previous trade here. New trade – Armour Residential (ARR) put selling

Today I decided to sell a put against ARR. I sold July 20 7.5 strike put. If the stock rises above 7.5 it will expire worthless and I keep the premium ($84) and repeat the process. If the stock stays below $7.5 at expiration (or the owner of the put decides to execute it) I Continue reading →
